We take up relief activities from time to time to help people during natural calamities. Special fund and material collection drives are organized and we along with our volunteers reach such resources to the affected people

We distributed relief materials to flood affected villagers of Bhoral and Shalbari villages of Gangarampur block of South Dinajpur district. We transported the relief materials of drinking water, dry food packets, medicines, ORS, sanitary napkin, and some amount of rice and pulses from Kolkata after organizing a collection drive. Around 300 villagers were covered under our programme

We handed over 150 Kgs of rice and 60 Kgs of pulses as ration to Durbar Mahila Samannay Committee who work with the sex workers of Sonagachi area of Kolkata. This ration was distributed amongst the sex workers who had being suffering tremendous financial crisis due to lockdown during Covid pandemic.

Cyclone Amphan devastated a large part of the southern districts of West Bengal especially the Sunderbans. We conducted a relief campaign and organized money and material for distribution. As an immediate relief measure, tarpaulins, clothes, dry food, medicines were distributed to 142 families in various areas of Canning subdivision.
June, 2020
As part of the ongoing Amphan relief drive, we went to Sonaga village of Gosaba and distributed groceries and stationery to 50 families of children who were part of our study center. Additionally, we identified 20 fishermen families whose livelihood were in jeopardy as their boats were severely damaged in the cyclone. We subsequently, transferred Rs. 10,000 to the bank account of each of these men as financial help for repairing their boats.
